Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia is a cancer affecting the white blood cells, and their ability to function as protectors and carriers of the body’s immune system. Detected via blood test, those affected by CLL may struggle with their prognosis, as well as their quality of life. Though there is no cure for CLL, through the continuing efforts of researchers and physicians, there are a growing number of options available to patients – the goal: to prolong progression – free survival.
