Dr. Angela Mailis is the Director of the Comprehensive Pain Program at Toronto Western Hospital. The main causes of chronic pain are arthritis, back pain, headaches and nerve injury, as is the case with diabetic neuropathy, or injury to the peripheral nerves after surgery or trauma.
