Oral Health: A Window to Your Overall Health

Oral Health: A Window to Your Overall Health

Your oral health may provide clues about your overall health, as the mouth can really be considered a window to what’s happening in the rest of your body. For example, a recent study found an association of over 50 disease states that have a relationship with the health of the mouth.

In this segment we hear from dentist and international lecturer, Dr. Leonard J. Litkowski, DDS on how oral health can indicate other issues in the body, how many people experience issues with their teeth, and some ways to minimize these issues.

We will also hear from Heather Doucette, a dentist hygientist with Dalhousie University’s School of Dentistry on some tips to help with the brushing of your teeth.
