HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) is a sexually transmitted disease that can lead to HPV associated cancers.

Dr. Nancy Durand, a Gynaecologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, warns that “Everyone is really at risk for infection with HPV if they’re going to be sexually active at some point during their lifetime. It’s now said that our lifetime risk of contracting HPV is going to approach 70-90%.”

Dr. Durand shares options to help protect against and prevent HPV and its related diseases.
